Bamboo flooring has become the most popular green flooring product. Although commonly referred to as wood flooring, bamboo technically is not wood - it's grass. As such, it grows quickly and isn't destroyed when harvested. It is environmentally friendly. Bamboo is harvested in the "Bamboo Sea" as the locals in Hunan, China call it. The bamboo is than carefully processed using advanced technology that provides a quality product, which serves a lifetime of beauty and durability. Three layer, cross laminated, all bamboo, tongue and groove planks are 3-5/8 inches wide by 5/8 inches thick. Standard length is 36". 24" and 72" lengths are also available. Each package covers 21.5 sq. ft. and weighs about 50 lbs. Bamboo flooring comes in two colors; Natural and Carbonized (Dark Brown). It is also available unfinished and can be stained to any color. It can be sanded and refinished in place up to five times.
Finish - Three coats of 100% solids U.V. cured Acrylic Urethane with Alum. oxide. Also available unfinished.
Accessories - Reducers, Base Shoe, Stair Nosing and Stair Tread.
Hardness - Bamboo is 27% harder than Northern Red Oak and 13% harder than Maple.
Installation - Bamboo flooring can be installed on, above or below grade. It may be glued, nailed down or floated.
Maintenance - It is virtually maintenance free. Damp mopping is all you need to clean floors. Do not use wax.
Warranty* - Lifetime on manufacturing (see details) and 5 years on the finish(see exclusions).
* Manufacturer's warranty varies. Please inquire for specific warranty information for individual products
