It was recently introduced in the US, and has been well received for its soft and exotic appearance, durability and low maintenance. During the manufacturing process, the bamboo is treated to prevent insect and mildew damage, and to conform with fire prevention standards. Bamboo flooring is available in natural and carbonized finishes.
